The construction of a billion-dollar industrial park in Quang Tri province is set to commence soon
The Economic Zone Management Board of Quang Tri province has announced the commencement of the Quang Tri Industrial Park on December 15th.
The Quang Tri Industrial Park was approved by the Prime Minister with Investment Decision No. 418/QD-TTg on March 23, 2021, with a total investment capital of 2,074 billion Vietnamese dong, located in Dien Sanh town, Hai Truong commune, and Hai Lam commune, Hai Lang district, Quang Tri province. In detail, phase 1 covers an area of 97.4 hectares with an investment of nearly 505 billion Vietnamese dong.
The project is led by the Quang Tri Development Consortium Co.Ltd., involving the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited, Amata City Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company – Amata Group from Thailand, and Sumitomo Corporation from Japan.
Currently, the project has completed procedures for investment certification, establishment of the industrial park, zoning planning, transportation connectivity procedures, environmental impact assessment reports, forest land use change documentation, replacement forestation funds, detailed planning at a scale of 1:500, and leasing of 77.35 hectares of land.
As of November 14, 2023, the People’s Committee of Hai Lang district has decided to reclaim land measuring 95.29 out of 96.05 hectares in Phase 1, approving a compensation and support fund of over 119 billion Vietnamese dong for land clearance.
