Vinh Phuc province will have 47 industrial clusters in 2030

By 2030, Vinh Phuc province will develop 31 new industrial clusters, bringing the total number of industrial clusters in the province to 47.

The provincial planning of Vinh Phuc for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has been approved by the Prime Minister, setting the target that by 2030, Vinh Phuc province will plan an additional 5 new industrial zones, bringing the total planned industrial zones to 24.

The provincial planning explicitly states that the establishment of new industrial zones will be further developed in cases where land use targets are supplemented, adjusted, and meet the conditions stipulated by law on industrial zones.

The demand for developing industrial zones after 2030 is projected to be 7,000 hectares, expanding to 10,000 hectares by 2050. Priority will be given to developing new industrial zones along key transportation axes such as the Hanoi – Lao Cai expressway, the beltway 4, and beltway 5.

Regarding the development direction of industrial clusters, the provincial planning of Vinh Phuc approved by the Government specifies that by 2030, there will be development plans for 31 new industrial clusters, bringing the total number of industrial clusters in the province to 47. By 2050, the entire province will have 51 industrial clusters.

The provincial planning of Vinh Phuc for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister on February 6th. The development objectives until 2030 aim for the province to lead the country in GRDP per capita growth, have modern and comprehensive infrastructure, meet the criteria of Type I urban areas, and lay the groundwork for becoming a centrally governed city. Economic restructuring will focus on digital, circular, and knowledge-based economies, serving as a nucleus for the development of modern industries and services in the Red River Delta region. It aims to improve people’s lives, foster an advanced and culturally rich society, promote social harmony, and maintain a healthy ecological environment.

The goal by 2050 is for Vinh Phuc to become a centrally governed city, comprehensively developing in all aspects of the economy, society, and environment; ensuring high living standards and happiness for its residents. According to the Vinh Phuc Provincial People’s Committee, the announcement of the provincial planning is scheduled for March 5th, 2024.
